Hi, and welcome!

This site is where I write about the films and shows I actually watch — mostly movies, K-dramas, and other Asian TV. I started it because I kept having strong opinions about what I watched and nowhere to put them beyond talking my friends’ ears off.

How I review

I’m not interested in retelling the plot — you can get that from a synopsis anywhere. Instead, I focus on what a film or show is actually trying to do, whether it pulls it off, how the direction and performances hold up, and who it’s realistically going to work for. I rate everything on a 10-point scale broken down by category (story, acting, chemistry, pacing, and so on), and I’m upfront when something is a mixed bag rather than forcing it into a clean “good” or “bad” verdict.

What I cover

A recurring thread in my film reviews is David Lynch’s filmography — Eraserhead, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, and more — along with other films from across genres and decades that I think are worth a second look. On the TV side, I write mostly about K-dramas: enemies-to-lovers romances, revenge plots, period dramas, and the occasional disappointment I still think is worth discussing. I don’t cover everything that comes out — only what I’ve actually sat through and have something to say about.

Who’s behind this

It’s just me. No editorial team, no sponsored placements, no rating inflation to keep publicists happy. When I say I loved something or thought it fell apart in the second half, that’s the honest reaction, not marketing copy.
